“The pizza is made up of a hand tossed crust covered in chunky tomato sauce, mozzarella and Provolone cheeses, spaghetti noodles, meatballs and is then sprinkled with Parmesan and romano cheeses. All in all the pizza was really good. It was right up there with the lasagna pizza that I wrote about a few months ago. The only thing I didn’t like about it was that it seemed a little dry. “To create the bacon crust I took a pound of Nueske’s Thick-Sliced Peppered Bacon and created a bacon weave on a sheet of tinfoil. I then flipped the bacon weave into a pie tin and patted it down before placing another pie tin on top of it so it would keep its shape when cooking. I also put together the lattice top (this time using Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Bacon) at the same time and put it in the oven it along with the crust so that when the macaroni and cheese was done cooking on the stove I could fill the mostly cooked bacon crust with it, add some breadcrumbs, cover it with the lattice top and then throw it back in the oven to finish cooking. Once the pie was all done I let it cool on the window sill for a little while and then dug in!” w/ photos

The third layer in the process is the actually Root Beer Ice Cream. Yes… They’re not using plain vanilla ice cream like we used to when we were kids, they are using root beer infused ice cream containing root beer milk, vanilla bean paste, eggs, sugar, heavy cream and salt! The final step in these Root Beer Float Cupcakes is the Beer Sauce, a sauce made out of root beer, corn starch and granulated sugar!” w/ photos

“The only logical thing to do after being granted my wish of an all day McDonald’s breakfast was to create some sort of concoction that combined their regular lunch menu with these two day long breakfast choices so I ordered  some pancakes, a breakfast burrito, a McDouble and grabbed a seat and got to work. I started by removing the bun from the McDouble and topping the burger patties with the eggs, sausage, peppers and onions from my breakfast burrito. After that was done I placed the burger on a pancake, topped it with another pancake, cut the excess pancake trim from around the edges and enjoyed my McDonald’s Pancake Burrito Burger!” w/ photos
