So What Is The Universe Made Of?

The mystery of ‘dark matter’ has just got a bit darker – after the mysterious particles failed to show up AGAIN. The theoretical particles – are thought to make up 83% of all matter. But detecting them directly has proved impossible – leading some scientists to question whether ‘dark matter’ exists at all. The huge Xenon 100 experiment – a gigantic tub of supercooled liquid buried in a mine in Gran Sasso Italy has failed to show up any ‘WIMPS’, a theoretical particle of dark matter. WIMPS – or Weakly Interacting Massive Particles – are one of the forms scientists believe dark matter might take.” w/ photo
