Man Buys 80-Year-Old Lobster, Sets Him Free

Larry the lobster just received a second lease on life. The lucky crustacean, estimated to be at least 80 years old, was purchased at a restaurant only to be released back into the ocean in honor of his incredible longevity. Don MacKenzie of Niantic, Connecticut, bought the 17-pound lobster because he just couldn’t stand to see the massive creature end up on someone’s dinner plate. “It takes seven years for him to even become a lobster big enough to keep,” MacKenzie said. ‘For a lobster to live this long and avoid lobster traps, nets, lobster pots… he doesn’t deserve a bib and butter.” w/ photos

Organic Red Chili Pepper Wreath

Sometimes great things are worth the effort. This beautiful red chili pepper wreath is loaded with authentic, fragrant red dried chili peppers grown in Pennsylvania. Five large bunches are carefully stripped of all of their leaves (see original bunch) and then the stems are hand wired to a metal base. The sides of the wreath are even filled so that this wreath can be used as a centerpiece and enjoyed at any angle. The smell is also, absolutely amazing and will brighten up any home! Perfect for to spice up your winter, in kitchens or other areas of your home. Use either as wall decoration or table centerpiece! I have one hanging on my pantry door and get so many compliments when guests walk in! Enjoy for many years! Not recommended for edible use.” w/ photos

A sea fort was exactly as the name indicates – a giant fort with stone walls and housing cannons to fend off intruders. Today, the sea forts are mostly deserted, but some of them have been renovated and converted into tourist attractions.” w/ photos
