“A pair of giant tortoises have left zoo keepers shell-shocked after ending their loving 115-year relationship following a blazing row. Bibi and Poldi called time on their enduring century-long love affair, described as the world’s longest animal marriage, this week after a major fall-out. Zoo keepers at Klagenfurt Zoo in southern Austria said the pair simply ‘can’t stand the sight of each other’ anymore. The duo had to be separated after female Bibi began attacking her mate, even taking a chunk out of his shell in one particularly vicious attack.
