“Chocoholics have gone into meltdown over the latest world record attempt by American confectionery maker World’s Finest Chocolate. The four-piece bar was weighed at a mouth watering yet precise 12,290 pounds, or a whopping 5.5 tonnes. Smashing the previous Guinness World Record by more than a tonne, workers and hundreds of guests looked on in amazement as the 21-foot long treat made its way across the factory floor in Chicago. World’s Finest Chocolate created the bar as part of a campaign called ‘Think Big Eat Smart’ which is aimed at teaching American school children about proportionate eating.” w/ photos
