Online Dating Does Not Work

“As dating coaches, we have always believed that online dating doesn’t work. Or, we should say, doesn’t work for most people. We know many good people who have tried using dating websites without success and only a few who found long-term happiness. But online dating is out there. In a major way. So we decided to see for ourselves if online dating works. We tested our skills with the most devoted online dater we could find. If we could uncover a strategy for finding real-life chemistry online, then we’d embrace the Internet. If we failed, then either A) we were not good online dating coaches or B) our belief that online dating doesn’t work would be confirmed.” w/ photos

Top 10 Love Lessons Gleaned From Fatal Attraction

“1987 marked a turning point in the lives of married men everywhere. That was the year Fatal Attraction was released in theaters. What everyone thought would be an escapist thriller turned out to be a painfully scary reality check on fidelity. The movie features a bored family man, Dan Gallagher, who takes advantage of the advances of a lusty stranger, Alex Forrest… Dan soon realizes that there is no such thing as a free lunch. What was meant to be an exhilarating night of passion ends up being this man’s worse nightmare. His family, his job and his own life are endangered… and he never sees it coming. In fact, the actions of his mistress come at him so fast that the end of the movie feels more like a horror film than a dramatic thriller. Could things have turned out differently for Dan or James? Absolutely. They would have had a better chance of coping if they had followed some basic rules.” w/ photos + videos

Convict Falls Through Ceiling Of Apartment

“Kaliegh Townsend was barely awake when it happened. The 23-year-old Hattiesburg resident was getting ready for work at around 8:40 am in her Foxgate apartment when she heard thumping overhead and then a crash. “I was yelling, ‘Get out! Get out!,’” said Townsend. “There was a hole in the ceiling, insulation everywhere, and a naked man lying on the floor.” Townsend froze as a nude man in his 30s opened the door to her second-story apartment and bolted outside. Then, Townsend said, the man walked back in and asked if she would lend him a pair of shorts. When she refused, he grabbed a jacket from a nearby hanger and covered himself. She yelled for the naked man to leave, and he did. Minutes later officials from the Lamar County Sheriff’s Department and the Mississippi Department of Corrections arrived. Townsend says they told her the man was a parole violator. According to Townsend, the police were knocking on doors in the apartment complex and may have spooked the man they were searching for. He then scurried into the shared attic by way of a closet next door.” w/ photos + video
